YiFu membrane supply · Municipal wastewater

Project at a Glance

YiFu supplied hollow fiber MBR membrane assemblies for this municipal wastewater project in Zhejiang Province. Ten modules provide a combined filtration membrane area of 6,000 m².

LocationZhejiang Province, China
ApplicationMunicipal wastewater treatment
Membrane typeHollow fiber MBR
Module configuration10 modules × 600 m²
Total membrane area6,000 m² of filtration area
Plant treatment requirementApproximately 1,500 m³/day

The treatment requirement describes the water plant’s intended duty, not a measured continuous permeate output or a membrane performance guarantee. Membrane area is filtration surface area, not the footprint of the plant or membrane tank.

Membrane Assembly Design

The workshop photographs show vertical membrane bundles within metal frames, surrounding enclosure panels and lifting lugs at the top. The open-panel view makes the internal arrangement and access to the bundles visible.

Each 600 m² assembly forms a handling unit within the ten-module supply. This modular approach allows the membrane arrangement to be considered against the tank layout, installation sequence and maintenance access rather than treating the entire membrane bank as one inseparable structure.

These are workshop equipment photographs; they illustrate the assembly configuration, not installation or operating conditions at the wastewater plant.

Design Features and Practical Benefits

Modular arrangement and handling

Separate frames support staged transport and installation. The frames and lifting lugs provide handling points for moving assemblies into position and removing them for inspection, subject to an appropriate lifting plan.

Filtration area in a framed assembly

Vertically arranged hollow fiber bundles concentrate filtration area within each module. The layout still needs sufficient space for connections, access and removal; membrane area alone does not establish treatment capacity.

Protection and maintenance access

The enclosure panels provide physical protection around the fibers. Opening the panels gives access to internal bundles and connection positions for inspection and maintenance.

Focused aeration

The panels are also intended to concentrate aeration around the membrane bundles and support lower aeration energy demand. This is a design function, not a quantified energy-saving result for the project.
